Will the leagues be tiered within an age group?
We will tier at 8 teams only if appropriate, and likely tier at 10 teams. We will definitely tier upon reaching 12 teams in an age group.
Can we use secondaries or guest players?
Yes, our league is intended to keep teams active and playing real soccer. We know that many teams have players that play other winter sports. So, borrow from another team or a younger team, if even only for a couple of games. Just make sure the player is listed on the roster with signed online waiver.
Can I enter a team of players from different clubs who are friends?
Yes, this is allowed as long as they are age appropriate. Also, they should have a matching shirts (t-shirts are fine.) We also ask that you talk to us about the approximate tier of your team. They must be age appropriate and be on team roster with online waivers.
When will my team play?
General time frames are provided on the travel information page. Unless you request to play every game at 5:00pm on weekday night, your game times will vary. Older teams tend to play later slots on Friday night. We try to distribute the early games that are close to rush hour amongst local teams. If your team is coming from a greater geographical distance, we attempt to consider that while scheduling.
Can I make a scheduling request?
Yes, however, that does not mean that we can grant it. We always listen and try. Asking for the earliest weekday slot is almost always granted. For a coach entering 2 teams wanting back to back games, we will try hard to make it happen and may miss on a night if we have many similar requests. If you have indoor state cup one weekend and need a bye, let us know before we set the schedule.
How do I get my players rostered?
Once you have registered your team and paid the deposit, go into the manage team area. You will look for a drop down menu that allows you to email an invite to a parent for each child on the team. Once they fill out that information they will appear on your roster.
How do we pay?
The team organizer should use our DashPlatform registration system to pay the team deposit with a credit card. Once your players are rostered (see question above) you can split costs evenly or assign how much each player must pay. At that point each team parent pay for their kids directly with credit card. Or you can pay us with a team check?
Who participates in playoffs? What is the format?
Everyone participates on the playoff night. The format depends on how many teams are in the league. Some playoffs may have multi-mini game format, some playoffs may have single elimination format.
Can my team play up an age group?
If you have a truly elite team that is capable of playing in an older division, you can register them in an older age group. Otherwise, register them age appropriate and put in the notes that you would like to be considered for playing in an older age group. Our objective is to have balance competition for everyone’s benefit.
